Performance

Prev Next

The performance page can give insights into how your physical machine is handling the current workload. Go to System → Performance to view these statistics.

CPU Usage

The system’s CPU load can be monitored on this page. The chart shows the last hour of usage with the green line being the average of all cores. To show each individual core on the chart, click the settings cog in the top right corner and select the Show All Cores option. You can also adjust the alarm setpoint from this popup. If CPU usage exceeds this setpoint, the following will happen:

  • An event will be generated.

  • The Local Value CPU Alarm Active will go True. This can be mapped to an output tag to trigger an alert in the end device.

Multi-Threading

Koios is optimized to utilize multiple threads efficiently. If you are having significant CPU issues, consider upgrading to a CPU with more cores or allocating more CPU resources if using a virtual setup.

Ram Usage

RAM usage can also be monitored from this page. The chart will show the last hour of usage as a percentage of the RAM available to Koios. You can adjust a RAM alarm setpoint from by clicking on the cog in the upper right hand corner. If RAM usage exceeds this setpoint, the following will happen:

  • An event will be generated.

  • The Local Value RAM Alarm Active will go True. This can be mapped to an output tag to trigger an alert in the end device.

High RAM Usage

High RAM usage could indicate an issue with reading or writing to a significant amount of tags at once. If you are experiencing high memory usage unexpectedly, please contact us at support@ai-op.com.

Network Usage

Network usage can be monitored using the chart below. The chart shows megabits sent and received on a particular network interface. To change which network interface is shown, use the settings cog in the upper right hand corner. This will also let you set a high network usage alarm setpoint in Mbps. If sent or received network usage exceeds this setpoint or if network packets are dropped, the following will happen:

  • An event will be generated.

  • The Local Value Network Alarm Active will go True. This can be mapped to an output tag to trigger an alert in the end device.

Network Information

The currently monitored NIC’s information can be viewed in the panel below the network chart. This can be useful when troubleshooting network issues.

Storage Usage

Disk storage can be monitored using the chart below. You can also set a high disk usage alarm setpoint in percentage using the settings cog in the upper right hand corner. If disk usage exceeds the setpoint, the following will happen:

  • An event will be generated.

  • The Local Value Storage Alarm Active will go True. This can be mapped to an output tag to trigger an alert in the end device.

Use the history compression settings to help manage storage usage.
